M. Daniel Roukema is an award-winning business and community leader who has worked with charities, the private sector, governments, and regulatory bodies for almost 25 years. Specializing in non-profit organizational development and strategic communications, he has been leading transformational change as an employee, consultant, and Board member. He is also a recognized facilitator, speaker, and instructor on communications and marketing issues.
Daniel is the former Director of Communications at the Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council, the Condominium Authority of Ontario, and the Condominium Management Regulatory Authority of Ontario. He was also the manager of communications and government relations at that National Student Loans Services Centre, and spent a number of years prior to that working with governments and not-for-profit organizations leading significant stakeholder engagement processes that impacted public policy in the areas of the environment, economic development, immigration, and public health.
Daniel has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Dalhousie University, a post-graduate certificate in European Union External Relations from l'Université Libre de Bruxelles in Belgium, and pursued an M.S. in Community Economic Development at Southern New Hampshire University. He recently received an executive certificate in Digital Business Strategy from MIT and will obtain an MBA from the University of Cumbria and Robert Kennedy College in 2021.
